Heard Libraries’ Digital Scholarship and Communications Office and the Spatial Analysis Research Lab will host two virtual geographic information system (GIS) workshops for spring 2021.
Both workshops will be two afternoons in length, with students encouraged to attend both days.
The first workshop, “ESRI Basics: From ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online,” will focus on creating and manipulating data in desktop and web-GIS products. It will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 and 12.
The second workshop, “Intro to QGIS,” will focus on basic geospatial processing in open-source GIS technology. It will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 25 and 26.
No prior GIS experience is required.
