The Vanderbilt community now has another option for contacting VUIT when they need assistance—by texting 615-343-IT4U (4848). The number can be texted like any other cell phone number and will put you in touch with a VUIT employee who can assist you.
With the implementation of text for help, VUIT will be reachable via five different contact methods: call, chat, help request, email and text.
For many, the option to send a text will be a huge benefit, as it can be done from a cell phone without having to be tethered to a laptop or a phone call. It even supports images, emojis and .gifs.
