“Eliminating Bias in Letters of Recommendation” will be the topic of the next installment of Women in the Academy on Thursday, Jan. 28, from noon to 1:15 p.m. The meeting will be held over Zoom.
Panelists for the Jan. 28 discussion will include:
- Nancy Cox, director of the Vanderbilt Genetics Institute
- Michelle Grundy, director of the Health Professions Advisory Office
- Simone McCarter, academic support coordinator of the Writing Studio
Women in the Academy, a program sponsored by the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, offers Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars a chance to reflect on the ways that gender affects their experience as they begin their professional journey in the academy.
