Starting this year, the Vanderbilt community will gain another option for contacting VUIT when they need assistance: SMS text. This new option will be available to the community beginning Jan. 18. With the implementation of text for help, VUIT will be reachable via five different contact methods: call, chat, help request, email and text.
For many, the option to send a text will be a significant benefit, as it can be done from a cell phone without being tethered to a laptop or a phone call. It even supports images, emojis and .gifs.
