Student Care Network announces results of Headspace meditation challenge

Vanderbilt University conducted its inaugural Headspace meditation and mindfulness challenge this October open to all undergraduate and graduate students.

The joint effort by students spanning many university departments greatly exceeded its 6,340-minute goal, with a total of 25,214 minutes meditated.

Research has shown that just one session of meditation using Headspace programs can improve focus and decrease mind-wandering, and that 10 days of using Headspace can increase resilience, among other benefits.

Enrollment in Headspace for students is ongoing. The Student Care Network encourages all students to take advantage of the program to help manage stress, navigate uncertainties and feel their best.
