Vanderbilt University has announced two initiatives to support students and their families during the global COVID-19 pandemic: housing and dining financial adjustments for the spring 2020 semester, and the launch of a newly established Student Hardship Fund. The university also is committed to preserving the compensation and benefits of its housing, dining and other staff whose roles were affected by the move to alternative and online education this semester. In light of the circumstances under which undergraduate students will be completing their spring semester, the deans of Blair School of Music, the College of Arts and Science, Peabody College, and the School of Engineering have agreed to extend the deadline for students to change their enrollments from "graded" to "pass/fail."
