Vanderbilt University may submit one application to the Dr. Scholl Foundation Grant Program.
The Dr. Scholl Foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance to organizations committed to improving our world. They value innovation, practicality, hard work and compassion. The foundation’s grant program offers one year grants of $5,000 to $25,000 in the following areas:
- education
- social service
- health care
- civic and cultural
- environmental
The categories above are not intended to limit the interest of the foundation from considering other worthwhile projects. In general, the foundation guidelines are broad for flexibility in providing grants.
Examples of previously funded health care projects include nurse leader programs, palliative care/education, pediatric cardio fellowships, physician training in pediatric psycho-oncology, psychiatry residency training, cancer outreach programs, diabetes projects, underserved women’s health initiatives, etc.
The Dr. Scholl Foundation does not consider funding for event sponsorships (including the purchase of tables, tickets or advertisements) or for endowments, capital campaigns or general support. See the full list of exclusions here.
See the program page, the foundation’s homepage and its mission statement for more information.
