Vanderbilt community members are invited to attend an online vigil in honor of International Transgender Day of Remembrance on Friday, Nov. 20.
Vanderbilt’s Office of LGBTQI Life has partnered with transgender activists in Nashville to present a pre-recorded event that will premiere at 7 p.m. CT on YouTube. A recording of the event will be archived and permanently available for viewing after the premiere.

Now in its 21st year, the day occurs annually on Nov. 20 to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community and to memorialize those who have died as a result of anti-transgender violence.
