With an urgent need for blood donations, the American Red Cross is holding a series of blood drives at Vanderbilt University Medical Center throughout the fall.
Members of the Vanderbilt community can make an appointment online at www.redcrossblood.org, through the Red Cross blood donor app or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS. Appointments are not required but may prevent waiting and accelerate donation times.
All donors who complete a successful donation will receive a free COVID-19 antibody test, which will be available 7 to 10 days after the donation through the Blood Donor App or through the donor portal at RedCrossBlood.org.
Anyone who donates at Light Hall will be required to adhere to VUMC COVID-19 guidelines.
The drives will take place in Light Hall at VUMC from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:
- Dec. 7
- Dec. 8
