Beginning Aug. 21, undergraduate, graduate and professional students may obtain free access to Headspace, an award-winning meditation and sleep app designed to reduce stress, improve happiness and increase compassion through guided meditation, sleep content, mindful workouts and focus exercises.
In December 2019, Vanderbilt Student Government announced a partnership with Headspace with a limited number of free accounts to help support undergraduate student health and well-being. Based on utilization and positive student feedback, Vanderbilt’s Student Care Network is expanding the institution’s partnership with Headspace for the 2020-21 academic year.
Students can enroll in the Vanderbilt University Headspace program for free with their Vanderbilt email address. Upon enrollment, students can download the Headspace app and log in to begin their mindfulness journey. Undergraduate students who previously signed up for Headspace do not need to re-enroll and will continue to have free access to the app.
Students interested in additional self-directed wellness resources should visit the Student Care Network Self-Directed Tools website.
