Immersion advising hours for students extended; drop-in hours available

The Office of Immersion Resources is extending its hours for virtual advising appointments in response to the challenges created by COVID-19 and to accommodate students in different time zones. Virtual advising appointments are available to students on the Immersion portal.

Students can book advising appointments before and after normal business hours Central time several days a week for the remainder of the summer and continuing into the fall semester. Appointments are available via phone and Zoom and can be scheduled online. A schedule of current advising hours is as follows:

  • Monday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m., 7–9 p.m.
  • Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., 7–9 p.m.
  • Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

In addition, the Office of Immersion Resources is partnering with the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center to host virtual drop-in advising hours every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning Sept. 2. These additional hours will provide students with the flexibility to seek advising across various time zones prior to upcoming plan proposal deadlines.

Students who need additional advising accommodations are encouraged to send an email to Immersion@Vanderbilt.edu.
