Daniel Diermeier greets the Vanderbilt community and shares his optimism in the university’s future on his first official day as chancellor.
“This is a time filled with potential, as students return to campus in the fall under the safeguards we recently announced. Above all, I look forward to working with all of you to embark on Vanderbilt’s next chapter of excellence,” he said.
“New beginnings are often filled with optimism, but this is especially true when they are rooted in a tradition of achievement, a common purpose, and the strong value and culture that have led Vanderbilt to where we are today.”
