International scholars play a critical role in the deep interdisciplinary collaboration, diversity of perspectives and backgrounds, and the free exchange of ideas that are the hallmarks of groundbreaking discoveries and innovation, and that drive the dynamism of the American economy. Vanderbilt remains committed to our international faculty, students and staff and will continue advocating against these types of policies in close coordination with peer universities, associations and the private sector.”
