Vanderbilt has released a library of special Zoom background images to celebrate the Class of 2020, their achievements and resilience.
Class of 2020 graduates, their friends, family members and supporters can now download university-, school- and Commencement-themed virtual backgrounds for their Zoom meetings, meetups and online celebrations.
Giphy stickers are available for Instagram Stories by searching #VU2020. Custom Facebook frames also are available to use on profile pictures.

How to use a virtual background in Zoom
- Open the Zoom app and click the Settings button (gear symbol) in the top right corner.
- In the Settings panel, select Virtual Background from the menu at left.
- Select an image (or upload an image using the plus (+) button) to set your virtual background.
Note: For backgrounds that include the Vanderbilt logo—if you have screen mirroring turned on, the words will appear backwards to you but normal to others on the video call.

The Class of 2020 is being celebrated through a series of special videos and messages from across the campus community, including web stories and social media posts spotlighting graduates’ achievements. All content will be posted to the Commencement website and Vanderbilt’s social media channels from Friday, May 1, to Friday, May 8.
Interim Chancellor and Provost Susan R. Wente will release a special video message at 9 a.m. CST on May 8 to honor the graduates. The Class of 2020 and their family members are encouraged to watch at that time and share photos and videos of their own celebrations on their social media accounts using the hashtag #VU2020.
