Communications’ Eagles wins two Emmy Awards

Zack Eagles, a videographer in Vanderbilt’s Division of Communications, received two Emmy Awards from the Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences during the organization’s annual gala at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Feb. 15.

Eagles was nominated in three categories and won for “Student Athlete: The Vanderbilt Way,” a compilation in the Informational/Instructional category; and for an editing composite in the Editor/Program category.

Vanderbilt’s Pat Slattery and Amy Wolf also earned a nomination in the 34th annual awards competition in the Arts category for a compilation featuring “Musical talent and mentor Rama Kumaran” and “International dream comes true for Blair composition major.”

Vanderbilt’s video unit has received 52 Midsouth Regional Emmy nominations and won 14 times since the unit’s creation in 2007.
