Fourth Academic Pathways Postdoctoral Fellows Symposium set for Feb. 18

The fourth annual Academic Pathways Postdoctoral Fellows Symposium will be held on campus Feb. 17-21. Finalists for the 2020 Academic Pathways Postdoctoral Fellowship Program will visit with faculty and senior administrators to discuss collaborative research ideas.

The finalists will present their Ph.D. research from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Alumni Hall, Room 206. These presentations are open to the Vanderbilt community.

The goal of the Academic Pathways Fellowship is to prepare postdoctoral scholars to be highly competitive candidates for academic careers through robust mentoring combined with enhanced professional and leadership development.

Sponsored by Vanderbilt’s Office of the Provost with additional funding from the Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate of the National Science Foundation, Academic Pathways seeks to address the acute need for greater diversity within the professoriate.
