Vanderbilt’s Office of Faculty Affairs in the Office of the Provost is asking all university-employed principal investigators to complete the online Foreign Relationships and Sources survey to assist university compliance and federal disclosure obligations.
The United States government has recently emphasized growing concerns regarding inappropriate influence by foreign entities over federally funded research. As a result, federal agencies are seeking expanded disclosure of international relationships and support from foreign sources. Several agencies have made clear that failure to disclose foreign relationships and activities may jeopardize eligibility for future funding.
Vanderbilt University encourages international collaborations, but recognizes the importance of transparency regarding any foreign relationships and activities. To protect each federally supported investigator at the university, and to ensure compliance with Vanderbilt and federal disclosure obligations, all university-employed principal investigators to complete the online Foreign Relationships & Sources Survey, available through the Office of Faculty Affairs.

All university-employed investigators receiving federal support for their research must complete this survey no later than Feb. 14.
