The Communication of Science and Technology program will host the Wick Poetry Center’s Traveling Stanzas: Poets for Science exhibit Feb. 3-5 in the Buttrick Hall lobby.

This interactive exhibit explores the intersection of poetry and science. Visitors to the exhibit can learn about the Poets for Science Project and create their own poetry using the Traveling Stanzas digital toolkit. Using seminal scientific texts, visitors to the exhibit can create, print and contribute their own “erasure” poetry. Created poems then become a part of the larger conversation online.

This unique exhibit began with the March for Science and includes a collection of poetry curated by American poet Jane Hirshfield.

All members of the Vanderbilt community are invited to attend and interact with the exhibit.
