Are you looking for a summer opportunity for an advanced learner in your life? There is no need to look past your own backyard! Applications are now available for summer PTY programs for advanced learners currently enrolled in grades K-11.
Programs for Talented Youth provides advanced learners the opportunity to take classes in a creative, supportive and engaging environment on the Vanderbilt University campus. PTY’s classes are taught by Vanderbilt faculty, graduate student scholars and content experts and are designed specifically with the academically talented and motivated student in mind.
Summer Academy at Vanderbilt for the Young (SAVY) offers six weeks of one-week-long summer courses (Monday–Friday, 8:45 a.m.–3:45 p.m. each day) for qualifying students in rising 1st through 6th grades. Courses are available in June and July, and students may participate in one or multiple weeks.
Career Connections at SAVY is a day program specifically designed for rising 7th grade students and offers weekly summer courses (Monday–Friday, 8:45 a.m.–3:45 p.m. each day) for qualifying students. Courses are available in July only and students may participate in one or multiple weeks.
Vanderbilt Summer Academy (VSA) is a residential program for qualifying gifted students in rising 7th through 12th grades. Students participate in a one-, two- or three-week session depending on their grade level. Rising 7th grade students may apply to participate in either VSA, Career Connections at SAVY, or both.

Although applications are accepted throughout the spring, we strongly recommend applying during this window as courses fill quickly.
