Explorations in Research networking event set for Jan. 29

The Office of Immersion Resources and the Scientific Immersion and Mentorship student organization have partnered to organize Explorations in Research, an event designed to convene researchers from all disciplines for an evening of networking and discovery.

Explorations in Research will be held in the Student Life Center Ballroom from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29. This event creates a space for research faculty from all disciplines to convene and meet with other faculty and students interested in cross-campus collaboration. David A. Owens, Evans Family Executive Director of the Wond’ry and professor of the practice of management and innovation at Owen Graduate School of Management, is set to provide opening remarks. Lightning round presentations, given by faculty from a variety of departments, will highlight various ongoing research projects. A meet-and-mingle period will follow, where students and faculty can discover the work being done in various areas across campus.

Registration is not required, but faculty and staff who wish to provide a poster or demonstrate their research through another medium are encouraged to register. Students may register on Anchor Link, while faculty can register here. In addition, the organizers will provide a program of registered attendees and name tags to facilitate networking. Light refreshments will be served.
