Members of the Chancellor Search Committee reflect on the selection of Daniel Diermeier as Vanderbilt’s ninth chancellor and discuss the qualities he brings to the role.
Diermeier’s appointment was announced Dec. 4, when he visited with faculty, staff, students and community members on campus. He will begin his term as chancellor on July 1, 2020.
An internationally renowned political scientist and management scholar, Diermeier currently is the provost at the University of Chicago, where he previously served as dean of the Harris School of Public Policy.
