Vanderbilt community members are welcome to attend a vigil in honor of International Transgender Day of Remembrance on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at Scarritt Bennett Center and will be followed by a reception featuring community partners and local organizations. Light refreshments will be provided.
Now in its 20th year, the day occurs annually on Nov. 20 to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community and to memorialize those who have died as a result of anti-transgender violence.
All are welcome to attend the vigil ceremony at Scarritt Bennet. For more information, contact Office of LGBTQI Life Program Coordinator Jay Bohanon.
