Army pilot’s mission to serve the most vulnerable leads her to Vanderbilt

U.S. Army combat veteran Mandi Mizner has devoted her life to serving her country and others. Following tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, she is continuing her mission of service through the advanced practice nursing program at Vanderbilt School of Nursing. She also is a member of the inaugural class of Bass Military Scholars.

In this video, Mizner discusses how the injury she sustained in combat inspired her to become a medevac helicopter pilot, and how her military service inspired her to serve a specific demographic within the U.S.
