Webinar: ‘Building Relationships for Federal Research Funding’ Nov. 15

A special faculty webinar, “Building Relationships for Federal Research Funding,” will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Baker Building, Room 800C. The webinar will address best practices for junior and established faculty, including those faculty looking to broaden their research. The discussion will cover tips on how to connect with program officers, how to pitch research to program officers managing new programs, and how to partner with potential collaborators to pursue center-scale funding opportunities. Remote viewing of the webinar will be available with advanced registration.

The webinar will be presented by Lewis-Burke Associates LLC, a leading government relations firm specializing in advocating for the public policy interests of institutions of higher education and other research and education organizations. Lewis-Burke is a resource for faculty to help expand their access to federal funding by providing analyses of funding trends, identifying new funding opportunities, and discussing barriers and advice to overcome funding challenges.

The event is being co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Science, Peabody College, School of Engineering, School of Medicine Basic Sciences and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research.
