SEA Lab seeking pregnant mothers for paid research study

The Vanderbilt Stress and Early Adversity (SEA) Lab in the Department of Psychology and Human Development is currently seeking mothers who are pregnant for a paid research study exploring brain development in early life.

Participants will complete interviews and questionnaires. After the baby of the participant is born, staff will invite participants to have a scan taken of the baby’s brain and to complete additional interviews and interaction activities.

Staff will schedule visits around participant availability. Eligible mothers will receive $15 per hour, with a commitment of up to 10 hours. Performance in all study-related activities, including requests for information, will be kept completely confidential.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, be pregnant, be in good physical health, be able to read and speak English, and have no immediate plans to leave the greater Nashville area.

If interested, fill out an online consent form and a secure contact survey or call (615) 343-4472 to reach the study contact. Call 1-866-224-8273 with questions about participant rights.
