NROTC National Security Symposium set for Oct. 18

The Vanderbilt NROTC Alumni Association will host its 11th annual National Security Symposium on Friday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 5 p.m. in Sarratt Cinema.

This year’s event features retired Adm. Scott Swift discussing “The Competitive Threats to Order in the Pacific.” Swift assumed command of the U.S. Pacific Fleet in May 2015. Prior to that, he was assigned to the Pentagon as the director of Navy staff.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception in the Sarratt Student Center lobby precedes the lecture beginning at 3:15 p.m.
