Vanderbilt Software Carpentries, a two-day boot camp scheduled for Oct. 24–25, aims to help graduate students and other researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management and task automation. Registration is free on a first-come, first-serve basis. Breakfast for both days is included.
