Department of Energy webinar on federal funding set for Sept. 26

A special webinar on federal funding from the Department of Energy is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Baker Building, Room 800C. Remote viewing will be available with advanced registration.

“DOE and Biological Sciences” will cover a broad range of research areas such as fundamental genomic science, microbiome research and advances in bioimaging, as well as share tips on how to shape future research directions at the DOE in biological sciences.

The webinar will be presented by Lewis-Burke Associates LLC, a leading government relations firm specializing in advocating for the public policy interests of institutions of higher education and other research and education organizations. Lewis-Burke is a resource to faculty to help expand their access to federal funding by providing analyses of funding trends, identifying new funding opportunities, and discussing barriers and advice to overcome funding challenges.

The event is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Science, Peabody College, School of Engineering, School of Medicine Basic Sciences and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research.
