The Blair School of Music Precollege and Adult Program has been renamed Blair Academy at Vanderbilt. Blair Academy offers private music lessons, ensembles and classes for students from infants to octogenarians.
For more than 50 years, Blair has offered the Middle Tennessee community top-quality music education for children, youth and adults. In 1980, Blair Academy joined Vanderbilt University. By reaffirming its original name, Blair honors the school’s founding, celebrates its distinguished legacy, and looks forward to an exciting and dynamic future as an integral part of Vanderbilt’s world-renowned community of learning.
Registration for the spring 2020 semester is now open. Visit the Blair website and explore the possibilities. Learn about music lessons, classes, Kindermusik, Suzuki violin and cello and ensembles.
Private lessons for youth and adults are offered in orchestral and folk instruments, piano and voice. Adult classes include Symphony 101: New Ears for Music and the Orchestra, Tai Chi for health and wellness, theory and songwriting.
Registration begins Dec. 9. Classes and lessons begin Jan. 6.
