Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos sent a special message to Vanderbilt baseball head coach Tim Corbin and team, lauding them for exemplifying “the Vanderbilt way” at the College World Series and beyond.
“What a great group of representatives we have with these young players and Coach Corbin. Through the whole season and the whole College World Series, we know that character, integrity, intelligence—those are the things that really have marked the team,” Zeppos said. “Particularly when you see the talents of these kids—to hit, to throw a ball like that, and then to go to school here and compete academically.”
On and off the field, Zeppos said, these student-athletes demonstrate the very best of Vanderbilt in college sports. “You are the Vanderbilt way,” he said.
