Statewide summit to focus on civic engagement on college campuses March 29

Vanderbilt University, along with the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, will host the second annual Civic TN Campus Summit on March 29.

The summit, a statewide convening of university administrators, faculty and students, will focus on developing strategies for increasing student engagement, civic learning and voter access on campuses throughout the state.

The U.S. Higher Education Act requires institutions of higher learning to facilitate voter registration on their campuses.

State representatives committed to increasing voter access and engagement will join the Vanderbilt summit for a roundtable discussion hosted by the Scholars Strategy Network, the Vanderbilt Office of Active Citizenship and Service, and the Vanderbilt Division of Government and Community Relations.
