‘Explorations in Research’ networking event Feb. 27

The Office of Immersion Resources and several student organizations have partnered to organize Explorations in Research, an event designed to convene researchers from all disciplines for an evening of networking and discovery.

The event will be held in the Student Life Center ballroom from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. It is intended to create a space for research faculty from all disciplines to convene and meet with other faculty and students interested in cross-campus collaboration. Doug Schmidt, associate provost of research development and technologies, is set to provide opening remarks.

Registration is not required, but faculty and staff who wish to provide a poster or demonstrate their research through another medium are encouraged to register. In addition, the organizers plan to provide a program of registered attendees and name tags to facilitate networking.

Event sponsors include Scientific Immersion & Mentorship, Vanderbilt Student Government and the American Medical Student Association at Vanderbilt. Light refreshments will be served.
