U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center chief scientist to give Parker Lecture Feb. 5

Dr. David Pittman of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will discuss “Environmental Engineering and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center” on Tuesday, Feb. 5, as part of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s Frank Parker Lecture Series.

The talk will begin at 4:10 p.m. in Jacobs Believed in Me Auditorium at Featheringill Hall, Room 134. A reception will precede the lecture at 3:10 p.m. in the Featheringill Hall Atrium.

Pittman is the SES director of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, director of research and development, and chief scientist of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Pittman’s visit is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
