Employees across the university should be vigilant and aware of recent phone calls from scammers claiming to be from office supply vendors, such as RJ Young. Victims say the scammers claim they are selling print supplies such as toner, paper staples, etc., and that there is an imminent cost increase to supplies – before offering a discount if the employee purchases immediately.
The university’s Business Services Operations has notified VUPD and employees that think they may have been a victim of this scam are encouraged to contact the VUPD non-emergency line at (615) 322-2745.
Employees are encouraged to use the university’s CampusPrint collaboration among Printing Services, Card Services, Purchasing Services, VUIT and vendor partner, RJ Young, to “print from anywhere, to anywhere”. The program focuses on universal device access, environmentally sustainable technology, and a streamlined, simplified administrative experience to power Vanderbilt’s printing needs.
CampusPrint program covers all costs associated with printing, including toner, staples, supplies, and paper. These costs are included in the ‘per copy’ pricing that is charged back directly to users of the network. The only charge a department will incur for CampusPrint will be an internal monthly Oracle ICT from Printing Services based on actual usage.
