Faculty invited to submit Discovery, Research Scholar Grant proposals

The Office of the Provost invites faculty to submit proposals for the next round of Discovery Grants and Research Scholar Grants.

Both awards are open to all full-time VU-employed (provost-reporting) faculty. Proposals that advance research in areas related to race, diversity and inclusivity are encouraged.

Discovery Grants

  • Serve as a catalyst to external funding sources, supporting new ideas, cutting-edge research and the development of infrastructure.
  • Application portal opens Dec. 10.
  • Application deadline is Jan. 28, 2019.

Research Scholar Grants

  • Provide funding for innovative scholarship and creative expression projects.
  • Application portal opens Dec. 10.
  • Application deadline is Feb. 4, 2019.

All applications for both grants must be submitted online through InfoReady Review, Vanderbilt’s official submission portal.
