Vanderbilt Campus Dining will activate the Share-A-Side program from Thursday, Oct. 11, to Thursday, Oct. 18. The program allows students to forgo taking a side item on any of their meal swipes from The Commons Center, Rand or Kissam dining halls, The Pub at Overcup Oak, Local Java or campus Munchie Marts and instead donating its value to Hurricane Michael relief programs.
Students can participate by simply informing the cashier they wish to participate in Share-A-Side when swiping their Vanderbilt card to purchase a meal.
Previous Share-A-Side fundraising efforts this semester have resulted in more than $7,000 being donated to relief efforts for Hurricane Florence and Typhoon Mangkhut.
