More than 2,000 Vanderbilt students met with 400 recruiters representing some 140 companies at the Vanderbilt Career Center’s 2018 Career Fair held Sept. 5 at the Student Rec Center fieldhouse. From those initial meetings, students were invited to participate in more than 200 interviews with companies the following day.

Prior to the Career Fair, Career Center staff teamed with a group of 10 employer guests to conduct a three-day Career Kickoff seminar, in which more than 500 students participated in résumé reviews and had professional photo head shots made.

In addition, the Career Center hosted two SLAMs—casual speed-networking events where employers present students with brief pitches about their companies, followed by breakout sessions with students who wish to continue the conversation—for Vanderbilt business and engineering students. Approximately 300 students attended each event.
