First-year, transfer and Next Steps students were welcomed into the Vanderbilt community on Sunday during the traditional Founders Walk. Students gathered on The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, and then walked across the pedestrian bridge that connects the Peabody College and main campuses to Alumni Lawn for the event.

Speakers included Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan R. Wente, Associate Provost and Dean of Residential Faculty Vanessa Beasley, interim Dean of The Ingram Commons Gregory Melchor-Barz, Vanderbilt Alumni Association President Dan Lovinger, and Vanderbilt Student Government President Tariq Issa. After the event, the crowd headed back to The Commons Lawn for a picnic.
