The Office for Inclusive Excellence announces an April 25 workshop focused on instructor–student interactions, featuring the Cornell Interactive Theater Ensemble.
The “Hang in There and Be Tough” workshop is designed for instructors interested in focusing on nuanced classroom climate issues. The workshop stimulates discussion on how students’ individual self-esteem and academic performance is impacted by identity abrasions created by well-intentioned faculty/instructors. Postdoctoral fellows and graduate assistants are also encouraged to attend.
Two sessions are offered in the Divinity Reading Room:
- 9 to 11 a.m. (breakfast served at 8:30 a.m.)
- 1 to 3 p.m. (lunch served at 12:30 p.m.)
