Update on campus conditions, dining and services

Please find below information on the operational status of various campus services for Friday, Jan. 12. Roads and sidewalks may be icy, so please take precautions when traveling on campus.

The Student Health Center will close at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12. If students have an urgent matter, they should call 615-322-2427 for on-call provider assistance. The SHC plans to provide its regular Saturday clinic on Jan. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Any changes to the center’s regular operating hours will be posted on its website.

The Psychological and Counseling Center has canceled all scheduled appointments for the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 12, but will be open for crises until 3 p.m., at which time the on-call crisis service will be available at 615-322-2571.

Campus Dining has announced the following closings: Campus Store, Suzie’s, Orto, and Au Bon Pain. Local Java will close at 10 a.m. Grins will close at noon. Rand Dining Hall and Bamboo Bistro will close at 2 p.m. Pi and Leaf will open at 4 p.m. More closings may come; follow @vandydining on Twitter for updates.

Central Library, the Divinity Library, Peabody Library, and the Science and Engineering Library will be open with essential staff today. Check here for library hours.

The Recreation and Wellness Center is open regular operational hours. If any classes are canceled or the pool is closed, the Rec Center will share updates on its website and Facebook page.

The MLK Joint Day of Service, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13, has been postponed. All students who registered for the event will be notified by email.

Campus Planning and Construction sets priorities for snow and ice removal from campus roads and sidewalks, but conditions can be such that it becomes difficult or impossible to meet those priorities. Use caution when moving about the campus.
