On Oct. 9 at 4:05 a.m., the Metro Nashville Police Department and VUPD responded to a robbery at the Rite Aid located at 2416 West End Ave. After demanding that the clerk give him money, the suspect shot and wounded the store security guard and fled the store. The suspect was last seen on foot traveling east on West End Avenue toward downtown. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Suspect description: The suspect is described as a light-skinned African American male with dreadlocks, wearing dark-colored clothing and a red bandana. The suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
