Translational Research Forum set for Oct. 13

Jacob Corn, Ph.D., a pioneer in next-generation genome editing at the University of California, Berkeley, will the guest speaker at the 2017 Vanderbilt Translational Research Forum October 13 at the Student Life Center.

Corn, scientific director of the Innovative Genomics Institute at the University of California Berkeley, will speak at noon during the day-long forum, hosted by the Vanderbilt Office of Clinical and Translational Scientist Development.

The forum, which will run from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., also will feature discussions by 25 early-career Vanderbilt faculty members on topics ranging from early detection of Alzheimer’s disease to mechanisms of breast cancer dormancy in bone.
