Upcoming total solar eclipse is the first visible across the U.S. in 99 years

Vanderbilt University astronomer explains the historic path of the total solar eclipse expected on August 21, 2017.

Billy Teets says the total eclipse will only be viewable along a 70-mile wide path from the West Coast to the East Coast.
