Limited submission opportunity: Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program

Vanderbilt may nominate up to two faculty for the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program in Bioethics.

Vanderbilt may nominate up to two faculty for the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program in Bioethics. These three-year career development awards enable junior faculty members to carry out innovative bioethics research that goes beyond current work in bioethics to help resolve pressing ethical issues in clinical care, biomedical research and public policy. Priority will be given to applicants whose research addresses innovative and emerging topics. The award supports 50 percent of a scholar’s salary plus benefits for three years.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be junior faculty members holding at least a 60 percent appointment in a tenure-track position.
  • Priority will be given to applicants who have not yet been considered for tenure, who have not received a comparable career development award, and whose work will have an impact on public policy, biomedical research or clinical practice.

Greenwall Faculty Scholars will be selected based on:

  • their achievements;
  • the strength of their research project;
  • commitment to the field of bioethics; and
  • support from Vanderbilt.

Interested faculty should visit https://vanderbilt.infoready4.com/#competitionDetail/1762376 to submit an application for the internal LSO competition and to find additional information about the opportunity. The deadline for the internal competition is Thursday, Aug. 30, 2017.
