Online vehicle registration for Vanderbilt University faculty and staff, including those in the School of Nursing, opens Monday, Aug. 7. University Central parkers should register their vehicles before the current permits expire on Aug. 31, 2017.

Register your vehicle >>

  • Please verify all of the pre-filled information and make changes as necessary. If the fields are not pre-filled, you will need to complete the missing data.
  • Have available the following: license plate number, state where registered, make, model, year and color of the vehicle(s) to be registered.

Permit rates

There will be a slight increase in parking rates for 2017-18. Permit prices are based on your salary band (see chart below). University Central faculty and staff are encouraged to use payroll deduction as a pre-tax alternative to using a credit or debit card.

Salary band Salary range Monthly permit cost
Band 1 < $49,999 $41.00
Band 2 $50,000 – $99,999 $52.00
Band 3 $100,000 – $149,999 $72.00
Band 4 $150,000 – $199,999 $93.00

Permit delivery

Parking permits will be delivered to the address used during registration. If you prefer to have your permit delivered on campus, please use your campus address.

Affix your permit to your registered vehicle when it arrives. There is no reason to wait until Sept. 1, as permits are valid immediately at no extra charge.

Park smart

The university is introducing a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system in 2017 to help collect data, increase security, and monitor parking on campus. The system will be vehicle-mounted and patrol the campus. Please park your vehicle so that your license plate is readable from the drive lane. This allows the LPR system to read the plates of the vehicles on both sides of the drive lane simultaneously, creating efficiencies and reducing costs in terms of vehicle idling time for the university.
