Alumni engagement is critical to Vanderbilt. The university appreciates those who actively attend events and support the university through philanthropy and by giving their time as a volunteer. As the Reunion 2017 fundraising chair for her class, social media ambassador, career adviser, and volunteer for the G.O.L.D. Challenge, CoRPs and student-alumni programs, Maria Emily Crist, BA’12, is a great example of a loyal Commodore.

The support of this network has empowered me to learn, grow and reach for new opportunities.

“The people I met at Vanderbilt have become close friends and confidantes, coworkers and frequent friendly faces on the streets of New York City,” Crist said. “The support of this network has empowered me to learn, grow and reach for new opportunities. For this, I am very grateful. As an alumna, I want to support the very strong and very special Vanderbilt community.”
