Students network with alumni at Summer Opening Dores

(Vanderbilt University)

Vanderbilt students may be on summer break, but they haven’t stopped working. Many are taking advantage of time away from the classroom to pursue internships. Thanks to the Summer Opening Dores series, they are also making important connections with alumni.

Summer Opening Dores are casual yet purposeful networking receptions featuring alumni from diverse industries. Events were held in New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Each city is a popular internship destination for Vanderbilt students, and the events—with nearly a 2-to-1 student–alumni ratio—provide an opportunity to enhance that experience by networking with alumni in the area.
