Federal authorities are investigating a template bomb threat sent to fax machines/networked printers at various locations around the country, including Vanderbilt University. Federal authorities, who do not believe the threat to be credible, are working to determine its origin.
The template document began appearing over the Memorial Day weekend in several states including Tennessee.
As of this morning, about five or six locations at Vanderbilt had reported receiving the threat to Vanderbilt University Police Department. Any others who have received the threat are encouraged to contact VUPD at 615-322-2745.
VUPD is continuing to monitor the situation and is working closely with Metro Nashville Police Department and federal authorities.
