Vandy Cooks: Middle Eastern cuisine June 16

Join Marissa Wertheimer, a registered dietitian, as she prepares a variety of Middle Eastern dishes with big flavors. These vegetarian dishes will showcase fresh and appetizing ingredients full of protein, vitamins and minerals. The menu will include oven-baked falafel, tahini sauce and tabbouleh. All attendees will receive delicious samples along with the recipes to take home and serve to family and friends.

Wertheimer is a health educator for Health Plus. In this role, she provides wellness coaching along with health education to Vanderbilt faculty and staff.

Vandy Cooks is provided monthly through a partnership between the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center and Health Plus supporting healthy eating through cooking presentations that feature the many aspects of food preparation.
