VRWC offers summer group swim lessonsApr. 6, 2017, 9:55 AM
Faculty, staff, students and community members of the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center can now register for group swim lessons to enhance swim technique, endurance and confidence.
To register, go to the VRWC website, follow the button to register, and pay with a credit or debit card. Group lessons will start May 22. The following levels of group swim lessons will be offered this summer:
- Parent and Child
- Beginner 1
- Beginner 2
- Beginner 3
Summer 2017 group swim lesson pricing:
Lessons are $180 and occur Monday–Thursday in two-week sessions. Fridays are reserved as make-up days in the event of inclement weather or other facility closures.
Starting May 15, faculty, staff, students and community members of the VRWC can register for private swim instruction. Private lessons are 30 minutes in length and one on one with a swim instructor. Lesson times are flexible and determined between the instructor and participant/parents. Swim instructors will contact the participant/parents to arrange lessons that are convenient to both parties.

Summer 2017 private swim lesson pricing:
- Vanderbilt students – $20/lesson
- Vanderbilt faculty/staff – $30/lesson
- Community members and non-affiliates – $35/lesson
